It looks like a lot of people are interested in the Stumpwork Tiles book! It was fun reading all your comments and seeing what designs people prefer. In fact, I actually started to count up the “favorites” so I could list some statistics, but I quit after the first page of comments! If you’re interested in statistics, though, feel free to count them up!

But really, you’re not here for the stats – you just want to know who the winner is, and I can’t say that I blame you!

The winner of Jane Nicholas’s beautiful stumpwork embroidery book, drawn by random number, is ….

Marilyn A&C, who said:

My favorite design is the Turquoise Peony Tile. I have a great passion for the Arts and Craft movement, and know that Iznik tiles and Persian influences are reflected in work by several British Arts and Crafts ceramicists. It would be a great tribute to British Arts and Crafts history to reproduce an embroidery tile which was inspired by ceramics from the Persian influences, as well.

Congratulations, Marilyn! Please contact me with a mailing address and I’ll have one shipped to you this week!

Ironically, my next Big Project is related to the Arts & Crafts Movement, and I’ll be unfolding the background of preparing that project in the coming days.

If you’re interested in your own copy of the Stumpwork Tiles book, it’s available at Jane Nicholas’s website, shipping from Australia, or in the States, you can pick it up through Amazon. If you have a local fine needlework shop in the vicinity that carries books, you might ask them to special order it for you as well, or you can always request that your local library acquire the title so that you and others can enjoy the book through the library service.
