Reader Charlotte Halley sent a photo of her embroidered version of the Hungarian Flower Pot hand embroidery pattern, and with her permission, I thought I’d share it with you!

Charlotte embroidered her Hungarian flower pot on a scrap of linen, with left over stranded cotton. She used split stitch, outline stitch, chain stitch and satin stitch. The flowers are stitched in two strands of cotton, while everything else is stitched in one strand.

I love what she’s done with it, and the subtle differences in reds for the flowers. The stem looks terrific – and the little tag with her initials sticking out of the flower pot is just perfect.
