Tanja Berlin’s got something fun going on on her website, and if you love blackwork (or even if you love the idea of it, but haven’t tried it yet), you might want to take a look!

This is Tanja’s Blackwork Mini Mystery Project. Each month for three months, starting in February, Tanja is posting a new section of this Blackwork Mini Mystery Project on her website. The section for February is already posted. Each part of the project is presented in PDF format for downloading and printing from your computer, and it’s not just the chart that she’s giving you – it’s an amazingly thorough, step-by-step instructional packet that will not only guarantee your success in completing this particular project, but will teach you the ins and outs of blackwork embroidery.

The design so far is perfect for this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere. Flowers, bunnies, wee mice, birds, and bees – all harbingers of spring, and perfect to work up right before Easter springs upon us in April.
