Reading through all the responses to this week’s give-away of four packs of Needle ID Cards, I’ve drawn a few conclusions: 1. I’m not the only one who thinks they’re smart and really cute! 2. Though they’re brand-new to the market, they’re going to be pretty popular little accessories for our workboxes; and 3. There are more than just a few of us who have needle-confusion in common!

This morning, I randomly drew four lucky winners who will each receive a pack of their own Needle ID Cards. Here are the winners, plus a list of links to shops where you can pick up a set or two for yourself and your stitching friends.

Needle ID Cards

The four Needle ID Card packs go to the following folks, who need to contact me with their mailing addresses so I can get them out to you this coming week:

1. Debby Brandenburger, who answered the question about needlework accessories thus:

My favorite tool is my padded hoop; which I did quite differently than you showed the other day!). I have arthritis in the base of my left thumb and the strain is less holding the hoop. I love these needle ID cards. Thank you for sharing them. I know friends who will get these!

2. Michelle Simmons, with this answer to the give-away question:

My only needle accessory is the container the needles came in or a piece of cloth. I am planning to one day make a needle holder along the lines of the one that was made in the class. I wanted to do the class but was unable to at the time it was offered. This give away would go a long way to helping me with my embroidery! Thank you for the opportunity.

3. Pat Turner, whose comment reads:

My favorite, and most used, needle item is a round-wool felt ball that rests on a wooden stand. I have it sitting on a table next to my stitching “nest”. It’s always filled with needles and pins for easy grabbing. It’s handy enough to take to stitching events too. The needle cards look wonderful! I would love one of those. (I’m sure I have a million needles!). Gee, don’t we all?

4. Kath from Oz! Here’s her comment:

G’day Mary, I’m good, I’m good! The first word in this post is ‘Needlework’ and the last one is ‘comments’. See, I read it ALL! And, my favourite needle tool is a needle book made from my first bead embroidery project. Something that was out of my comfort zone and that I was particularly pleased with. Thanks for the blurb on the great cards and also thanks to Access Commodities. Cheers, Kath from Oz.

Congratulations to the winners! Please contact me with your mailing address as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from you!

Needle ID Cards – Resources

The Needle ID Cards are very new to the market. They debuted at last month’s TNNA market, and are just now showing up in needlework shops.

If you’re looking for your own set of Needle ID cards for yourself or as gifts for stitching buddies, here’s a current list of places you can find them available:

Hedgehog Handworks: They’re not on the website yet, but you can use the contact form and put in an order.

3 Stitches: Here’s the direct link to the Needle ID Cards on their website.

Bobbi Chase at Embellishments: They’re not on her website yet, but you can contact Bobbi directly via e-mail at Mbellish (at) aol (dot) com and she’ll set you up with however many you need.

Needle in a Haystack is carrying them – they’re not on the website yet, but you can find the Needle ID Cards on their blog, which has a shopping cart feature in place for easy ordering. (Note: looks like they run about $1.00 more here per set)

So far, those are the places I’ve ferreted out. If you’ve found anywhere else carrying them, feel free to let us know by leaving a comment below with the information.
