To start the week off, here are the next four letters of the Tulip Monograms – I, J, K and L.

I’m trying to crank these monogram embroidery patterns out for you as quickly as possible – I know there are quite a few of you waiting for some of the later letters in the alphabet. I think it’s better to keep the letters in order, though. There’s just something about alphabetical order for keeping things tidy!

So, without further ado, here’s I though L, followed by the PDF!

Monograms for hand embroidery, letters I though L - free printable

If you’re just joining in here on Needle ‘n Thread, you can find the previous letters in this monogram alphabet under Patterns in the main menu on the website. Scroll down to Monograms for Hand Embroidery, and you’ll find six different decorative alphabets perfect for embroidering beautiful initials.

When I posted A-D for the tulips, I included some stitching ideas and a sample already embroidered. You’ll also find other stitching tips under the E-H tulip monograms.

You can save the PDF of these letters by clicking on the link below. The letters will print at 2.5″ tall, if you choose the no scaling option on your print menu.

Coming Up on Needle ‘n Thread

Right now, I’m working on a new sample of one of the tulip monograms, which I hope to show you shortly-ish.

It’s coming out ok-ish.

Ever have a week like that, where everything you do is just “ok-ISH”? For the past couple weeks, it seems that everything I’ve been stitching on has been Not Quite Right.

In any case, I’ll share that sample with you soon, along with a few difficulties and fixes.

I’m also playing with some experimental stitchery that I’ll show you soon. It’s fun and colorful!

And I’m basting a different piece of fabric for this project (didn’t take me too long to change one major aspect of this crazy project, did it?), so I’ll share the whys and wherefores on that topic with you later this week, too.

There are several other delectables in the pipeline for the upcoming weeks, too, including a gorgeous kit I Need to show you (and a give-away for the same), a few beautiful books, some thread talk as I sort stuff for a new goldwork project, some organizational shuffles in the workroom (that must happen in the next month, before I go nuts!), and…you know. Fun stuff!

A New Needle ‘n Thread is Coming, Too!

Wooooohooooo! I’m a little excited, and a little nervous, about this tidbit.

While all this is going on in the foreground, we’re also getting a little bit closer each week to a new Needle ‘n Thread. Not new-new – just a somewhat new look (you’ll still recognize it) and a new structure that will be more user-friendly, especially for those who visit on mobile devices. I’ll let you know when that’s going to happen, before it happens!

Online Goldwork Class

Oh, and one more little note! Lucy Barter’s online goldwork class that I reviewed here is on sale on Craftsy right now for 50% off. If you’re interested in goldwork, read my review and see if this class is something you’d be interested in. It’s such a good opportunity to learn about goldwork techniques without the huge price tag of workshops and seminars.

Just so you know, I’m an affiliate, which means I get a small kick-back when you buy classes through my links. I only recommend classes that I think are of interest and worthwhile for my readers and that I’ve reviewed myself already. You’ll find the goldwork class here on Craftsy, where you can get a little preview of it. For $19.99, you can’t go wrong! It is a super good class – especially for visual learners – and very accessible for any level of stitcher, and very affordable.

So, let the week begin! I hope it’s a wonderful one for each of you!
