We’re almost half-way through the Stitcher’s Christmas series here on Needle ‘n Thread! It’s hard to believe that Christmas is just barely over two weeks away, isn’t it?
So far, we’ve seen some pretty nice Christmas gifts in this series of give-aways, much thanks to the independent small businesses, designers and artisans who have made such lovely gifts possible!
We still have more exciting things to come – not least of which are the goodies in today’s give-away!
So, without further ado, here are the details for today’s give-away, and the winner from A Stitcher’s Christmas #3, the goldwork horde from Tanja Berlin!
Goldwork Kits & Supplies Winner
First, let’s tackle the business of the randomly drawn winner from the third installment of A Stitcher’s Christmas. The prize goes to Helen West! Congratulations, Helen – I will drop you an email today to touch base, so that your treasures can be winging their way to you soon!
Thanks again to Tanja Berlin of Berlin Embroidery for putting together such a lovely prize!
Incidentally, if you’re a lover of modern blackwork and counted designs, Tanja is offering a beautiful variety of her blackwork and cross stitch charts for digital download during the month of December for only $5.00 (Canadian – which is about $3.90US). That’s a fantastic deal! Especially if you love cats, owls, bunnies, and other wildlife, you’re sure to love her designs! You can find her digital downloads on sale here.
Stitcher’s Christmas #4: Mythic Crafts!
Today’s give-away also hails from Canada, from the magical wood-working hands of Mark Harris at Mythic Crafts, who creates gorgeous wooden tools and accessories for needlework – from slate frames that are as beautiful as they are functional, to finished customized wooden boxes to mount your needlework masterpieces in, to lovely carved wooden needle minders, the ideal stocking stuffer for every stitcher!
Earlier this year, I reviewed one of Mark’s beautiful slate frames. They aren’t your typical slate frame – the roller bars are designed differently. The different design cuts the time to dress a slate frame in half!
Mark can also add customized engraving on the slate frame, to make it really special, heirloom-quality tool for your needlework!
So, courtesy of Mark at Mythic Crafts, today I’m giving away a slate frame and, to keep things really seasonal, a little Christmas tree wooden needle minder to one lucky winner!
The slate frame is a 500mm frame (about 19″ wide, which gives you a work area of up to about 15″ wide, I think?). The side bars are adjustable from about 5.5″ – 15″ high, so the maximum workspace is about 15×15, give or take a little bit. It’s an excellent size for most projects.
